(Balme, M. G. Athenaze: an Introduction to Ancient Greek. New York: Oxford University Press, 2003.)

Dicaeopolis works in the field; he is digging the field. The work is much and difficult, he carries the stone in the field. He lifts the stone and carries (them) to the stone heap. The man(Dicaeopolis) is strong but works for a long time and is very tired. The sun is blazing and wears him out. He sits under the tree and rests not much time. He gets up soon and works. Finally, the sun setting. Dicaeopolis no longer works but walks to home.
